PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency generating set which can achieve the reduction of cost and the improvement on durability and maintainability by enabling the user to perform the switching of power for a charger contactlessly, in simple structure. SOLUTION: The battery charging circuit 17 of the emergency generating set 10 includes a battery charging circuit 17a which is branched from a circuit 11a on the side of a commercial power source 11, a battery charging circuit 17b which is branched from a circuit 12a on the side of an engine generator 12, the first charger 18a and the second charger 18a which are provided for each battery charging circuit 17a and 17b, respectively, and diodes 19a and 19b which let currents flow to only a battery side from each charger 18a and 18b, being provided on the output side of the first charger 18a and the second charger 18b. The output of both diodes 19a and 19b is supplied to a battery 16 as DC power for charge of specified voltage and specified currents, being put together into one circuit 19c.
