PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copolyester capable of giving a formed product of excellent in orientation processability and dimensional stability, while maintaining excellent properties inherent in polyethylene-2,6-naphthalate. SOLUTION: The copolyester is a copolymerized polyethylene-2,6-naphthalate composed of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component and an alkylene glycol component, wherein 50 mol% or more and less than 95 mol% of the aromatic dicarboxylic acid component is a naphthalanedicarboxylic acid component and 5 mol% or more but less than 50 mol% of the aromatic dicarboxylic acid component is 6,6'-(alkylenedioxy)di-2-naphthoic acid.
