PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the phenomenon that an absorbent on the back side is bent in a chevron shape and swollen to the outer side. SOLUTION: In the pants type disposable diaper, a belly-side covering sheet 12F and a back-side covering sheet 12B are not continued and are separated on the crotch side and the back surface of an absorbent main body 20 is positioned at the separated part. The pants type disposable diaper adopts the structure that an elastic flexible member 25 is fixed in the state of being extended along the cross direction at least in the cross direction range from a part within a rear end part 22 to a part within an intermediate part 23 more on the back surface side than an absorption element 50 in the absorbent main body 20.
