PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage system capable of distributing loads without causing a deterioration in performance when load concentration on data occurs in the case of distributing and storing data in a plurality of remote zones.SOLUTION: In a storage system including a plurality of storage devices, a first storage device for storing a file fulfilling a predetermined condition replicates the file to a second storage device in the same zone, and the second storage device generates replication information including the information of the first and second storage devices and status information indicating whether or not the file stored in each of the first and second storage devices is up-to-date as for the replicated file, and synchronizes the generated replication information and status information between the first and second storage devices, and transmits the replication information/status information to a management server device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
