A data input device is provided to input data correctly in a narrow area by discriminating internal and external signals received through an input tool based on a direction of the inputted signal, and prevent incorrect input operation owing to carelessness of a user by performing input in a small moving range. A plurality of radial input parts(12) are separated at uniform radial intervals from a reference position. Each radial input part performs direction moving input for inputting data assigned to each direction pointing position by moving to a plurality of direction moving positions arranged in a radial shape based on the reference position. A central input part(11) is arranged on the reference position and performs the direction moving input. The direction moving input is performed by two signals discriminated with each other. Data included in a character arranged to each position is inputted by at least one of the direction moving input, touch input, and push input while the central and radial input part realizes the touch and/or push input.
