摘要 A digital printing method fit for a flexographic printing system is provided to obtain practical merits of a digital based system under high-capacity and high-speed environment by making the existing design for a flexographic printing or gravure system compatible with a digital printing apparatus. A digital printing method fit for a flexographic printing system comprises the steps of: providing a rotary charge receptor(20) forming an imaging surface; generating an electrostatic latent image on the imaging surface; applying developing material forming the developed image, on the latent image on the imaging surface; applying the liquid ink held on the developed image, on the developed image not by electrostatic force; and transferring the liquid ink delivered to a sheet, from the developed image to the sheet not by electrostatic force. The developed image has first and second-type parts. The first-type part contains developing material. The first-type part is protruded for the second-type part. Accordingly, the developed image is suitable to transfer the liquid ink image related to the developed image.
