A humanoid robot is provided to arouse a child's interest by performing certain reaction to an external stimulus independently through various sensors even without any user's control. A humanoid robot includes: a robot controller(18) which controls many motors(19) for driving a motion of the robot, to express various motion expressions and movements; a mike input part(11) for receiving and sensing external sound or music; an infrared sensor part(12) for detecting external objects, person's access, and obstacles; an illuminance sensor part(13) for detecting an external illumination state; a microcomputer(14) which generates a robot control signal on the basis of the sensed signals of the sensor parts and the input sound of the mike input part, and outputs a motion control signal to the robot controller; a display output part(15) which displays the state and emotional expression of the robot through various LEDs or display units by control of the microcomputer; a sound output part(16) for outputting music or sound by control of the microcomputer; and a memory(17) in which programs such as motion control and display of the robot and sound output are stored on the basis of the external sensing signal of the microcomputer. |
