Rubber cover for rollers in printing or laminating machines has a fluoroelastomer coating with a thickness of up to 100 mu m and a roughness of up to 1 mu m. Independent claims are also included for: (1) roller with a rubber cover as above; (2) printing machine with a roller or rubber cover as above; (3) producing a rubber cover as above by applying the fluoroelastomer and curing it and optionally repeating the application and curing steps until the desired coating thickness is attained.
