PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency box which stores therein an emergency kit, and allows an indefinite number of people having no unlocking key to unlock the same in an emergency but usually protects the emergency kit from being stolen as much as possible. SOLUTION: The emergency box is formed of: a locking mechanism 21 which locks a front door 3 covering a front surface of a main case 2 in which the emergency kit is stored, by key operation; a push-type unlocking button 10 which cancels locking of the front door 3 by the locking mechanism 21; and a recovering means for recovering the unlocking button 10 pressed in an unlocking direction to an initial location. The emergency box has a dummy button 42 imitating the emergency unlocking button 10 arranged inside the front door 3, and the outside of the dummy button 42 is covered with a transparent cover which is arranged movably in a thickness direction of the front door 3 and serves as the unlocking button 10 itself. Further the emergency box has a door display section 6 arranged on the front door 3, which selectively displays an open state and a closed state of the front door 3 in conjunction with locking operation and unlocking operation.
