<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reception characteristics even in the environment of low CN ratio. <P>SOLUTION: A UW correlation unit 32 holds a UW in advance, and performs correlation processing between a reception signal output from a reception band limiting filter 30 and the UW. A symbol data extracting unit 34 detects the peak of sequentially input correlation values as burst timing. A modulated component removing unit 36 removes the component of the UW from a series in a section containing the UW among symbols extracted by the symbol data extracting unit 34. A frequency offset correcting unit 38 uses unmodulated UW symbols to estimate a frequency offset. A carrier wave regenerating unit 40 regenerates a carrier wave on the basis of the unmodulated UW symbols corrected by the frequency offset correcting unit 38.
