<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover for a side ditch, which has a light-emitting guidance member indicating an escape direction by emitting light in a dark state, for example, at night or during power failure. <P>SOLUTION: This cover for the side ditch has an approximately-square concrete cover body. A plurality of through-holes are provided in the cover body in such a manner as to be arranged in the direction of the side ditch. On the surface of the cover body, a corrugated plate-like reinforcing member is provided in such a manner as to be arranged astride the through-hole. The reinforcing member is embedded in the cover body in such a manner that a surface is exposed. A plurality of water passing grooves are formed on the surface of the reinforcing member in parallel with the side ditch. A weep hole is provided in a position, corresponding to the through-hole, of a bottom plate which constitutes the bottom of the water passing groove. The slender light-emitting guidance member, at least the surface of which is integrally provided with a luminous material, is fitted into the water passing groove, so as to indicate a guidance direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
