PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a U link mechanism easy to operate and capable of surely and speedily performing a test, when testing a communication line. SOLUTION: To this U link used for a communication device in an analog line, respective plugs of two terminals on the line side and the apparatus side, a switching means to switch electrical connection between them by inserting or pulling out an insertion rod from the outside, and a measuring socket means connected to one of two terminals are provided to control the switching state of the switching means by setting the length of the insertion rod of a measuring plug having the insertion rod.
