PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an annular reactor core employing a plurality of gap structures, and a reactor in which increase in copper loss is suppressed as much as possible by optimizing the shape of each core portion. SOLUTION: In an annular reactor core consisting of two opposing core yokes 5 and a plurality of core legs 6 arranged between the core yokes 5, the core yoke 5 has a projection toward the core leg 6, a gap is formed between the core leg 6 and the core yoke 5, and the core leg 6 consists of an integral core block wherein the ratio A/B of the length A of the projection from the core yoke 5 and the average length B of the core leg 6 in the direction of magnetic path is in the range of 0.3-8.0.
