<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery excellent in cycle performance and large-current performance, a battery pack equipped with the nonaqueous electrolyte battery, and an automobile. <P>SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte battery includes a cathode 3, an anode 4 containing titanium-system oxide, and nonaqueous electrolyte containing a compound having a functional group represented by the formula (1) and a sultone having an unsaturated hydrocarbon group.
