<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide building materials for horizontal roofing and a surrounding body for horizontal roofing capable of very easily securing an installation space causing no burden nor obstruct to cables, wires or pipes between a substrate part and themselves, when constituting roofs and walls, a roof, simply and quickly removable and replaceable as required even after once mounted on the substrate part. <P>SOLUTION: This building material is composed of a downstream side fitting part 2 formed at a lower side from the downstream end of a main plate 1 below it, an upstream side fitting part 3 formed at an upper part of the upstream end of the main plate 1, and a base bent part 4 downward protrudedly formed from a rear surface side of the main plate 1 and a portion close to the upstream side end.
