<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle detection system capable of identifying whether or not a vehicle parked in a parking space is a light car, and of providing a parking space for a light car. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle detection system X corresponding to a parking space for light cars is provided with a vehicle model identification sensor 8 for identifying a vehicle model by taking advantage of the existence of a difference above a certain level in dimensions (distance) from a road surface to a vehicle bottom between a light car and a large-sized car that is equal to or larger than an ordinary car. When a vehicle is detected and unless the vehicle model identification sensor 8 output an identification signal indicating a light car, a signal processing part 7 outputs to management device 2 a notification signal for emitting warning sound from an annunciator 9 instead of a vehicle detection signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
