METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR UPDATING PARAMETER OF ERROR FRAME

A method and an apparatus for updating a parameter of an erroneous frame are provided to conceal an error of an audio signal without an additional delay and prevent degradation of sound quality in a frame subsequent to an erroneous frame. An erroneous frame detecting unit(200) determines whether a current frame or a previous frame has an error. If the current frame does not have an error and the previous frame has an error, the first parameter generating unit(230) generates a parameter of the previous frame by using a parameter of the current frame and a parameter of an error-free frame among frames inputted before the previous frame. A parameter updating unit(250) updates the parameter of the previous frame with the generated parameter. If the current frame has an error, the second parameter generating unit(240) generates a parameter of the current frame by using parameters of one or more frames that do not have an error among frames inputted ahead of the current frame.
