PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle skeleton member structure capable of making both compatible in security of flexural strength of a skeleton member and weight reduction. SOLUTION: A cross-sectional substantially U-shaped reinforcing member 46 is arranged on the upper side edge 30 of a roof side rail 10 (the skeleton member). Thus, even when the roof side rail 10 ruptures with a lower side bending part 26 as a starting point when a vehicle turns over, flexural strength of the roof side rail 10 can be secured by the reinforcing part 46. Thus, since the flexural strength of the roof side rail 10 can be secured without increasing the thickness in the roof side rail 10, both security of the flexural strength and weight reduction can be made compatible.
