A system and a method for controlling light in a home network are provided to improve efficiency of the system by generating a control signal of an LED light in response to a received remote control signal. A system for controlling light in a home network includes a home net wall pad(110), a remote control unit(120), an integrated controller(200), and a light control unit(140). The home net wall pad performs a light control or a brightness adjustment if a home light is turned off/on by an external communication terminal, or the home light is turned on/off by a button. The remote control unit generates a light switching on/off signal or a brightness adjustment signal. The integrated light control unit analyzes the light switching on/off signal or the brightness adjustment signal which is transmitted from the home net wall pad or the remote control unit. The integrated controller recognizes a communication scheme and control data, and generates a light control signal corresponding to a recognized result. The light control unit controls the light switching on/off or the brightness in response to the light control signal generated from the integrated controller. |
