A method and an apparatus for spitting with different amount in colors are provided to use the same spitting count value for all counters, so that spitting is performed with different amount in colors while using relatively fewer registers. In a method for spitting colors with different amount by using an array head, spitting patterns of colors are differently input(600). The most spitting count value in spitting count values for the colors is set to the whole spitting count value of the colors(610). The spitting patterns are spitted while the spitting patterns are being moved in a predetermined direction by a unit nozzle(620). The spitting is repeated by the spitting count value. The spitting count value is a multiple of eight. The input of the spitting patterns, the set of the spitting count value, and the spitting are performed through program executable in a computer.
