POWER SUPPLY SYSTEM EQUIPPED WITH POWER FAILURE COMPENSATION FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system equipped with a power failure compensation function capable of supplying electric power continuously to a load even when a normal power source is changed over to an emergency power source without using an uninterruptible power supply of a large capacity.

SOLUTION: A first switch 4 and a second switch 7 are connected to a normal power source input terminal 1 and an emergency power source input terminal 2, to which an emergency power source is connected, respectively, and then both switches are connected to each other. A semiconductor switch 5 is provided between the connection point and an output terminal 8. The AC side of a two-way transducer 11 is connected to the output terminal 8, and a secondary battery 14 to the DC side of the transducer 11. A control means is provided that performs the control so as to accumulate DC power in the secondary battery 14 by operating the transducer 11 as a converter at the time of normal operation and to invert DC power accumulated in the secondary battery 14 to AC power by operating the transducer 11 as an inverter when changed over from the normal power source to the emergency one or vice versa.
