<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter which is a pigment dispersion type color filter for a liquid crystal display device carrying out multi-primary color display using a light source formed by time-dividing a multi-primary color LED and a color filter of three primary colors and has spectral transmittance, wherein a blue filter dose not cut the luminescence spectrum of a blue LED and sufficiently cut the luminescence spectrum of a green LED. <P>SOLUTION: In the color filter formed by dispersing a pigment in a transparent resin film, a violet pigment and a cyan pigment are coexisted as pigments used for the blue filter, wherein the peak wavelength of the spectral transmittance of the blue filter exists between the maximum wavelength and the minimum wavelength in the peak wavelength of the luminescence spectrum of the blue LED. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
