PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chiral phase-transfer catalyst having a simple structure and producible with decreased number of steps. SOLUTION: The compound is expressed by formula (I). The compound is extremely useful as a phase-transfer catalyst for the synthesis of anα-alkyl-α-amino acid and its derivative, and anα,α-dialkyl-α-amino acid and its derivative.
