The lock (1) has a controllable blocking device provided in a release state for a latch drive connection and transferred into a blocking state, while moving an outer door handle (31) in an opening direction (63) in a position assigned to an opening position of a latch (20). A controllable switching device (46) provided for the blocking device is actuated to transfer the blocking device from the release state into the blocking state. The latch drive connection is transferred into a function state or into an outer function state by the blocking device.
