An apparatus and a method for generating CG(Computer Graphics) image for a 3D display are provided to generate a CG image by rendering at once at a specific point without repeating a process of CG portrayal. A virtual time point model number calculating unit(1) calculates the number of virtual time point models to be generated based on 3D display information. A virtual time point model generating unit(2) generates virtual time point models as many as the number calculated by the virtual time point model number calculating unit based on CG model data. A disposition information calculating unit(3) calculates disposition information for disposing the virtual time point model group in a CG space. A virtual time point model disposing unit(4) disposes data belonging to the generated virtual time point model group according to the calculated disposition information in the CG space. A virtual time point information calculating unit(5) calculates virtual time point information regarding each virtual time point model. A virtual time point information applying unit(6) applies corresponding virtual time point information calculated by the virtual time point information calculating unit to each virtual time point model included in the virtual time point model group. A virtual time point model region information calculating unit(7) calculates a drawing region of each virtual time point model based on 3D display information. A CG drawing unit(8) draws a CG image based on the CG space information, the virtual time point model group information and the drawing region.
