<p>A bone joint evaluation system in which measurement precision available for early detection of rheumatism disease and follow-up for treatment can be achieved while burden on the patient is suppressed. The bone joint evaluation system comprises a radiation source for irradiating radiation at a low tube voltage, an object table for supporting an object including a bone joint at a position opposing the radiation source, and a detector arranged forward in the irradiating direction of radiation on the object table and detecting the phase contrast image of radiation applied from the radiation source toward the bone portion. The bone joint evaluation system is further provided with a section for setting an interesting region from a radiation image detected by means of the detector, and a section for calculating an index indicative of the extent of the disease of bone joint based on the radiation image of bone joint in the interesting region.</p> |
