PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a terminal board which is not a fire breakout source, from catching fire through communication wiring. SOLUTION: An outdoor machine of this air conditioner comprises a metallic casing 10, the terminal board 20 disposed inside of the casing 10 and connected with the communication wiring 2 for electrically connecting an indoor machine and the outdoor machine, a wiring retaining band 30 for fixing the communication wiring 2 connected with the terminal board 20 to the casing 10, and a metallic shielding plate 40 covering at least a part of the communication wiring 2 between the terminal board 20 and the wiring retaining band 30.
