<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately protect a driver by an appropriate reaction force of a developed airbag, in an airbag device of a vehicle adopted for a steering wheel so formed that steering wheel grips are provided in both right and left sides and are not provided at least in an upper side in a neutral position. <P>SOLUTION: The grips 14a, 14b of the steering wheel 10 are provided in the right and left sides in the neutral position of the steering wheel so as not to be positioned at least at the upper side. In a center part of the steering wheel 10, the airbag 31 is provided to develop to a driver side. On collision of the vehicle, an electronic control unit 43 controls operation of first and second inflaters IF1, IF2 to increase an inner pressure of the airbag 31 when a steering angle detected by a steering wheel steering angle sensor 41 is equal to or smaller than a predetermined reference angle compared when the detected steering angle is larger than the reference angle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
