PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a trouble where, when data is intermittently recorded by using a buffer memory in a video sound recording device, recording becomes impossible and a buffer overflows because of vibration of the device from the outside, the recorded data is discontinuous timewise resulting in incomplete reproduction of data. SOLUTION: When overflowing occurs in a buffer, recording in a disk by video object units is finished. Since the recording is carried out by video object units, even when data whose recording is stopped due to buffer overflowing is reproduced, disturbance of a picture and mixing of noises in a voice are prevented.
