摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the horizontal position and the height and/or the angle of a filler wire which is fed when a laser welding is performed and to detect the height of the light emitting part of the laser. <P>SOLUTION: The laser welding of steel plates W1 and W2 is performed by feeding the filler wire 78 to the weld zone of the steel plates W1 and W2. The full width 79 of the filler wire 78 and the steel plates W1 and W2 are irradiated with an auxiliary beam L1 and the irradiated parts are picked up with a camera. The position of the filler wire 78 is calculated on the basis of the position, the shape and the area of an irradiated part for measurement 96 of the filler wire 78 which is irradiated with the auxiliary beam L1 on the picked up image. The height of the light emitting part of the laser is detected on the basis of the distanceΔXP between the irradiated part 70 of members to be welded, at which the steel plates W1 and W2 are irradiated with the auxiliary beam L1, and the weld part position P. The filler wire 78 and the light emitting part are adjusted to be consistent with a prescribed position and/or a prescribed angle on the basis of the detected position of the filler wire 78 and the height of light emitting part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p>
