METHOD, SYSTEM AND SERVICE SERVER FOR TRANSMITTING A MESSAGE TO MEMBERS OF THE GROUP

A method, a system and a service server for transmitting a message to members of a group are provided to enable a user to transmit a message to a specified group collectively by using an address book which registers the members as one group with a group ID in a mobile terminal. A user creates a short message by using a mobile phone(S501), and selects a group(S502), and requires collective transmission of the message(S503). An SMS(Short Message Service) server receives the SMS message from a MSC(S504). The SMS server confirms an originating mobile phone number written in a phone number field of the SMS message(S505). The SMS server requires the mobile phone number of a member included in the group ID(S506). A character management server confirms the group ID and the originating mobile phone number from a group information request signal(S507), and grasps the mobile phone number of the group member matched with the group ID and the origination mobile phone number from a group DB. The SMS server receives the SMS message transmitted to the group members from the character management server(S509), and transmits the received SMS message to each mobile phone of the member according to the receipt information(S510). And the character management server informs the originating mobile phone about the result of the group transmission(S511).
