<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the whole operation smooth in a printing device in which a conveying mechanism part and a printing mechanism part are controlled by different control parts by linking conveying processing and printing processing. <P>SOLUTION: A printing controlling method is a method for controlling a medium processing device 100 which is provided with; a printing controlling part 123 which makes a label printer 120 execute label printing processing in accordance with print data; a conveyance controlling part 132 which is not linked with the printing controlling part 123 and independently makes a medium conveying mechanism 130 execute conveying processing in accordance with conveyance data. In the method, the conveyance data are generated and transmitted to a medium processing device 100 while print data generating processing is interrupted (S14), and the interrupted print data generating processing is resumed after waiting time required for finishing conveying processing based on the conveyance data has passed after the conveyance data are transmitted to the medium processing device 100 (S16), and the generated print data are transmitted to the medium processing device 100 (S17). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
