PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor suppressing heating of a sucked refrigerant and improving efficiency with a simple structure without coating of an insulating member. SOLUTION: The compressor 1 is a rotary type compressor for compressing a refrigerant sucked by rotating a rotor 11 in a housing 33, and is provided with: a suction chamber 9 arranged just before the sucked refrigerant is to be compressed in a compression chamber 26, a suction pipe 6 arranged so as to communicate with the suction chamber 9 so as to introduce the refrigerant in the suction chamber 9; and a double pipe member 10 as a sucked refrigerant insulating means for insulating the suction pipe 6 from ambient heat. The double pipe member 10 includes an insulating layer 8 formed of a space part formed in a periphery of the suction pipe 6 in the housing 33. With this structure, the highly-efficient compressor for reducing transmission of the ambient heat to the refrigerant sucked in the housing is obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
