PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device that is installed in an existing vending machine, without being modified at all, for issuing printed matter such as receipts. SOLUTION: For a vending machine having in the front of the outer door 2 of a body cabinet the mounting part of either a bill slot corresponding to a bill identifying apparatus or a card slot corresponding to an optional card reader/writer, a flapper-equipped decorative frame 11 is disposed in the mounting part of the bill slot or the card slot, and a printer unit 21 is mounted on the side of the outer door facing the inside of the vending machine, with both a printed matter issuing button and a printed matter ejection slot facing the inside of the decorative frame. The printer unit includes an issuing button 17 provided on the front of a unit case 13 having a rolled paper printer 15 mounted therein, and a paper guide 18 provided on the inside of the front of the case and adjacent to the issuing button to serve as a printed matter dispensing passage leading to the printer. The issuing button and the printed matter dispensing guide are installed with their respective open ends facing the inside of the flapper-equipped decorative frame disposed in front of them.
