<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device having a touch function excellent in cost reduction without decreasing the light transmittance. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device having a liquid crystal display panel has a display section where a plurality of pixels is disposed and a peripheral section disposed around the display section; displays in a boundary portion between the display section of the liquid crystal display panel and the peripheral section close to the display section, an image corresponding to touch keys in the display section while a photosensor that detects light is disposed close to the image corresponding to the touch keys. The photosensor of the liquid crystal display device outputs a current detected by blocking the whole or a part of external light when an observer touches the image corresponding to touch keys in the display section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
