The headlamp has a reflector (10) to which a discharge lamp (24) is assigned which can be fastened in a mounting and can be joined to a contacting element (60). The discharge lamp can be fixed to the mounting by a retaining element (40) which can be fastened detachably to the mounting. The contacting element can be fastened detachably to the mounting indirectly by a locking element (80) which does not touch the discharge lamp. The mounting is formed by the reflector and the discharge lamp can be fixed directly to the reflector by the retaining element. Actually, the mounting is formed by a lamp holder connected to the reflector.
