<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of operating a fuel cell at a high efficiency by improving efficiency of a reaction in each cell in the fuel cell system using a dead end method. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system has a fuel cell stack in which cells having an anode to which a fuel gas is supplied, a cathode to which an oxidation gas is supplied, and a porous body flow passage to supply a fuel gas to the anode are laminated in a plurality of numbers, and has a stack case to house the fuel cell stack.
