<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply unit and an image forming device by which a wider range of voltages is output by a single piezoelectric transformer. <P>SOLUTION: In order to apply the output voltage to a transfer member which transfers a toner image formed on an image supporting body to a recording material, the power supply unit includes the piezoelectric transformer 101, and a means 110 to generate a drive frequency to drive the piezoelectric transformer 101.
