<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for distributing printed documents. <P>SOLUTION: The system for distributing printed documents comprises a print device logic having a web service server 142 configured so as to transmit one or more web service messages indicating attributes of print devices and a sender print manager logic 134 having a first web service client 136 connected to the print device logic on a network; wherein the sender print manager logic 134 is configured so as to store the attributes, request printing history information from the print device, determine one or more preferred print devices for one or more users based on the printing history information, record mapping for associating user's identifiers with identifiers of preferred print devices, select one or more preferred print devices based on the mapping, and start one or more print jobs for printing documents by the selected preferred print device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
