A power frequency correcting apparatus for preventing trembling of a screen and a method therefor are provided to prevent a screen from being trembled by increasing a power frequency and changing the switching of the transistor by a TR controller not identical power frequency with horizontal frequency. A power frequency correcting apparatus for preventing trembling of a screen includes an SMPS transformer(1), a transistor(2), a frequency detecting and comparator(10), and a transistor switching controller(40). The SMPS transformer supplies power to the transistor through an AC input. The transistor is connected with the SMPS transformer, and generates a power frequency. The frequency detecting and comparator detects and compares the power frequency generated by the transistor and a comparison frequency stored in a ROM with each other. The transistor switching controller controls a switching speed of the transistor according to the comparison result of the frequency detecting and comparator.
