An apparatus for reducing an electronic wave of a PIP function television is provided to reduce occurrence of an electronic wave by stopping a sub image processor and a resonator when a PIP function is not used. An apparatus for reducing an electronic wave of a PIP function television having a main image processor and a sub image processor(124) includes a power source unit(140), a power switching unit(150), and a control unit(130). The power source unit supplies power to the sub image processor. The power switching unit is provided between the power source unit and the sub image processor, and selectively supplies power to the sub image processor. When a user inputs a PIP function set signal, the control unit outputs a control signal to the power switching unit to supply the power to the sub image processor. When the PIP function is not used, the control unit outputs a control signal to the power switching unit to stop supply of the power to the sub image processor.
