摘要 A method for driving an OLED(Organic Light Emitting Display) device is provided to reduce power consumption by adjusting luminance according to ambient lights and lightness according to light emitting amounts of pixels. An optic detection signal corresponding to the lightness of ambient lights detected by an optic sensor(800) is generated. When optic detection signal is lower than a reference value, one of first to fourth gamma values corresponding to the lightness is selected. By outputting a gamma compensation signal corresponding to the selected gamma value, a gray scale voltage of data signals is adjusted. When the third gamma value is selected, a scaling factor, which reduces input image data through a scale ratio based on input image data characteristics, is obtained and then image data, which is applied the obtained scaling factor, is provided to a data driver(300). When the third gamma value is selected, a luminance control signal for adjusting the pulse width of a light emitting control signal is provided to a scan driver(200).
