An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) manufacturing method is provided to prevent side profiles of first and second gate lines from being defective in a boundary area of a circuit unit n channel TFT area and a circuit unit p channel TFT area. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) manufacturing method comprises the following steps. A substrate where a circuit unit p channel TFT(Thin Film Transistor) area and a circuit unit n channel TFT area are defined is provided. First and second active layers are respectively formed in the circuit unit p and n channel TFT areas of the substrate. On the substrate having the first and second active layers, a metal layer is formed. By selectively patterning the metal layer, a first gate line(213G1) arranged long in one direction over the whole circuit unit p and n channel TFT areas and a second gate line(213G2) spaced from the first gate line at a predetermined interval are formed. The first gate line is formed to have a circuit unit p type gate electrode. By selectively patterning the remained metal layer, a circuit unit n type gate electrode connected with the second gate line is formed.
