<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding-device for an electronic device capable of handling or carrying an RFID tag having a spirally rolled dipole antenna safely, conveniently, and inexpensively. <P>SOLUTION: A holding-device 10 for an electronic device having a long and slender dipole antenna comprises a support 12 and an antenna positioning means. The support 12 has an open slot 24 formed by guide fingers 20 and 22. The antenna positioning means such as a magnet (not shown) is arranged to move antennas 40 and 42 into the slot 24 and hold the antennas 40 and 42 in an extended status in the slot 24. Switching the magnet to OFF state or extruding mechanically makes the antennas 40 and 42 release from the slot 24. Push rods 32 and 34, which are activating portions of the device, are arranged to remove the antennas 40 and 42 from the slot 24 and to place the antennas 40 and 42 on the surface of an acceptance member (not shown) outside the slot 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
