An air conditioner is provided to sterilize air by using a microwave generator installed at an outer side of a fluid passage. An air conditioner comprises a fluid passage(130) through which air flows. A microwave generator(140) is installed at an outer side of the fluid passage and supplies microwave into the fluid passage, thereby sterilizing air. The fluid passage includes an air feeding passage, through which outdoor air is guided to an interior of a room, and an air exhausting passage through which indoor air is guided to an exterior of the room. The air conditioner further includes a heat exchanger installed on the fluid passage to transfer heat to the outdoor air, which is supplied to the interior of the room, and the indoor air exhausted to the exterior of the room. The air conditioner further includes at least one photocatalyst member installed on the fluid passage and activated by the microwave.
