PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna directivity varying method for compact radio communication equipment, and compact radio communication equipment. SOLUTION: In the compact radio communication equipment which has an element 15 for housing antenna excitation, and a plurality of parasitic elements 4 disposed closely to the element 15 for housing antenna excitation, the parasitic elements 4 and the element 15 for housing antenna excitation are configured to change the directivity of an antenna by turning on/off an electric connection by applying a voltage through a semiconductor element 11 for the parasitic elements 4.
