PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promptly and intelligibly notify a proper browsing terminal of occurrence of an event without causing traffic load of a network. SOLUTION: This imaging apparatus is provided with: an event related information processing part 13 which generates event summary information and an event video image from a photographed video image; a camera side event information transmitting part 21 which transmits the event summary information with an event ID imparted thereto by an event identifier imparting part 18 to one or more event browsing terminals 4; a camera side request receiving part 23 which receives a request signal including the event ID to the event selected by one or more event browsing terminals 4; an event video image extraction part 24 which extracts data about event video images according to individual event IDs from a camera side event related information storage part 17 and a camera side event video image transmitting part 25 which transmits the extracted data about the event video images to the corresponding event browsing terminals 4.
