<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a periphery-monitoring device for a vehicle for monitoring an object at the front and front side of a vehicle, for avoiding or reducing the collision of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A periphery-monitoring device for a vehicle is provided with a front monitor radar 110 for detecting an object at the front of a vehicle; a left-front side monitoring radar 120 for detecting an object at the left-front front side of the vehicle; a right-front side monitoring radar 130 for detecting an object at the right-front side of the vehicle; a traveling direction deciding part 143 for detecting the traveling direction of own vehicle; and a monitoring part 144. The monitoring part 144 monitors a static object with only the monitoring radar, having a detection range in the traveling direction of own vehicle that is detected by the traveling direction decision part 143 among the front monitoring radar 110, the left-front side monitoring radar 120 and the right-front side monitoring radar 130, and the monitoring part 144 monitors a traveling object by giving priority to the front monitoring radar 110, the left-front side monitoring radar 120 and the right-front side monitoring radar 130, according to the traveling direction of own vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
