PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately connect ferrules beving fixed of optical fibers. SOLUTION: A rear holders 17 is joined behind each of covers 15 by using a sleeve 13 to connect first and second ferrules 12, 12. Both the first and the second ferrules 12 have the rear holders 17 fixed behind the cover members 15 through pressure springs 16. When the ferrules 12 are engaged to the sleeve 13 by pushing the rear holders 17, the ferrules 12 can be led to the center of the sleeve 13 because the ferrules 12 have flexibility of movement in elasticity by the pressure spring 16, thereby aligning the centers of the ferrules 12.
