PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce physical burdens when playing a brass instrument. SOLUTION: A mouthpiece 100 of a brass instrument includes a shank part 10 connected to a brass instrument main body 200 and a rim part 30 touched with player's mouth. An inner periphery 31 of the rim part 30 has long-length shape in a X direction perpendicular to a center axis A seen from the direction of the center axis of the shank part 10. For example, the inner periphery 31 of the rim part 30 is made to be oval or elliptical.
